Blue Buffalo Productions: How to Change a Ballroom into a Cyc

How do you turn a ballroom into a cyc? Carefully. We shot this with (5) cameras on a homemade cyc in a room full of windows 365. It was a bit of a conundrum to figure out light spillage; trying to evenly light the green screen and subject for a quick key; reduce staff noise, and all in Florida (only two of the crew live in FL). This turned into a few more people than we first anticipated but the outcome looked great. In truth, we have far more advanced keying programs than the old days. The green was two tone (we couldn’t figure that one out as it was rented) but everything worked out in the end.

It was a highlight of our career.
